The Marine Hotel, Stonehaven, is a popular harbour hotel offering bar, lounge, restaurant and rooms with stunning views over Stonehaven harbour. Established in 1884 and recently renovated from tip to toe (completed May 2009).The Marine Hotel has new management having been taken over by successful local restauranteur Robert Lindsay of The Creel Inn at Catterline. Robert has carried out a thorough shake-up of the whole business transforming the rooms and restaurant into an attractive venue and a destination in itself.
The Marine Hotel takes a holistic approach to your pleasure. We believe that all your tastes should be catered for and so we do not just focus on food and wine but extend our expertise to providing the finest quality whiskies and fine beers. We have put our skills with regard to brewing and tasting into play providing you with 100 bottle conditioned ales from around the world. We server locally made beers from Scotland and real ales from England. Our knowledge of Belgian beers is second to none and we can treat you to an experience you won't forget.Our bar is a fine place to relax and take in those alcoholic pleasures whilst chatting to the locals or just enjoying the view.
Our accommodation has been transformed. Our rooms are some of the best in Scotland offering excellent value and facilities with outstanding views. We aim to give our long and short term visitors all the conveniences they require. Each room has been redisgned to the highest of specifications. They are thoroughly modern in all respects. From flat screen TV to power shower, you will have everything you need during your stay. The adjacent lounge offers a more relaxed family atmosphere with open fire where meals are served daily. Children are welcome. Our restaurant is situated on the first floor and overlooks the harbour. It is appointed to the highest of standards.
